TORONTO - The Canadian dollar opened at 93.04 cents US, down 0.36 of a cent from Wednesday. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.0748, up 0.41 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed C$1.7167, up 0.55 of a cent and US$1.5972, down 0.10 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.5627, down 0.42 of a cent.
