TORONTO - The Canadian dollar closed at 92.21 cents US, down 1.19 cents on Thurdsay. The U.S. dollar stood at 108.45 cents Canadian, up 1.38 cents.

Pound sterling closed C$1.7279, up 1.67 of a cent and US$1.5933, down 0.49 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.5746, up 0.77 of a cent.
